Hear enlightening commentary on the vivid landscapes as your guide provides commentary during the 28-mile (45-km) journey to Glenorchy, a township situated on the edge of UNESCO-listed Mt Aspiring National Park. This area of exceptional natural beauty has been featured in films such as The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. 

From Glenorchy, set out on a thrilling jet-boat ride down the Dart River. Hold on tight as the boat turns and spins at high speed. Your driver expertly maneuvers the jet boat through shallow channels and points out natural landmarks along the glacier-fed braided river system.

Your naturalist guide highlights the area’s native flora and fauna while sharing captivating stories of the region’s indigenous Maori inhabitants and early pioneers.

Afterward, enjoy New Zealand’s jaw-dropping South Island scenery with a relaxing journey back to town.

Wonderful trip Safety is first so our initial trip was cancelled Moved to the next day ....had some rain ..made the speed on the jet boat interesting Ed was phenomenal and very informative The drive out from Queenstown is very scenic Ride out to the river was interesting and movie sites noted....and our trail walk was fun too I would do it again !!

Enjoyed the adventure. 3 specific parts. The ride to the river on a comfortable bus with educational talks about the local area. The actual jet boat ride and then the nature walk. The scenery is just amazing. It just blows your mind how beautiful that area is. The jet boat was fun, never scary. You do get a bit wet so expect your hair to look like crap. But it’s oh so fun. Then the smallish hike through a groomed natural area. So neat to see birds unaffected by humans. Also to stand inside some ginormous trees— fun historical facts shared about all the movies filmed in the area. A worthy 1/2 day trip.

The river ride was fantastic. It was so much fun. The only down side was the down time while you waited for the different buses to take you to different places. Especially the 40 minutes at the end waiting in the building for the bus to return to Queenstown.

The trip was very well organised, right from picking us up at our hotel in Queenstown to returning us later in the day. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The highlight for me was the jet boat experience. It was fantastic and I would recommend this trip to anyone thinking of visiting this breathtaking area of New Zealand.

Well actually I was extremely dissapointed. We were picked up in the most filthy bus that sounded like the gear box was going to fall out. The windows were so dirty it wrecked any pictures that you tried to take. The jet boat ride was good but as far as the four wheel drive safari, what a huge let down. We were not in any actual four wheel drive vehicles but a bus that went over a few mounds of dirt and that was it. We then got back to the main shop and was told we would have to wait for an hour for the bus to drive us back to Queenstown. There was no mention of this when booking. Im sorry to say that I would not recommned this tour. Waste of money.
